So about two days ago, I saw Fincher’s Girl With the Dragon Tattoo in theaters. I really liked it. Today, I watched the original Swedish version (with subs, obviously) and also enjoyed it a lot. The stories were similar with a few diversions. Different interpretations of the same story. 

People will probably yell (or type in all CAPS) at me for saying this, but i really can’t objectively or subjectively say which was better. The acting in both was great, both stories were presented in an engaging way. The Swedish version was first and was hugely successful around the world, so I’m sure many people have a stronger attachment to that one, but for me, having seen them at essentially the same time it’s hard to say which was a better movie. I’d love to hear opinions on why either was better or worse.
